You Can't Heal What You Refuse to Face
The quiet shift that leads to real, lasting healing.

From the Heart
Lately, I’ve been thinking about how easy it is to treat symptoms — in our bodies, our habits, even our spiritual lives — without ever getting to the root of the problem.
This week, repentance has been heavy on my heart. Not just the broad, “I know I mess up sometimes” kind of repentance, but the kind that digs into the root cause. The why behind the what. I’m learning that unless I’m willing to look at what’s actually fueling the issue, change is going to be surface-level — short-lived at best.
Healing, whether it’s spiritual, emotional, or even physical, isn’t about masking symptoms with quick fixes. It’s about getting honest, digging deep, and dealing with the roots.
Hard? Yes. Uncomfortable? Always. But that’s where real healing starts — with truth, with grace, and with the willingness to begin again.
With grace and curiosity,
Laura
P.S. Time zones are just conspiracy theories we all agreed to believe.
3 Wellness Wins
1. Deep Breathing, Real Results:
When overwhelm hits, pause and take five slow, deep breaths — in through the nose, out through the mouth. It’s a simple, 30-second reset for your nervous system that you can do anywhere (even in the middle of a Zoom call).
2. Create a "Not-To-Do" List:
Instead of piling up tasks, try writing down what you’re intentionally not doing today. It’s a boundary-setting move that frees up your time and energy for what actually matters.
3. Micro-Sabbath Moments:
Silence isn’t just golden — it’s essential. Reclaim five minutes of stillness in your day — no phone, no multitasking, no background hum. It may feel uncomfortable at first, but silence is where true rest and clarity begin.
(Bonus tip: Sometimes I diffuse dōTERRA’s Serenity® blend during these moments — it’s a small signal to my mind and body that it’s time to rest.)
2 Mindful Moments
Mindful Moment 1:
"As a man thinks in his heart, so is he." — Proverbs 23:7
Healing begins in the mind long before it reaches the body. If your thoughts stay locked in survival mode — managing symptoms, minimizing discomfort — you’ll stay there. Real restoration comes when you dare to imagine wholeness, not just relief.
Mindful Moment 2:
Affirmation: I’m done managing symptoms. I’m ready for real, lasting healing — starting with how I think.
